Puzzle #914: 2018 Advent Calendar Full

Posted December 29, 2018

I know the holidays are a busy time of year to do a puzzle event, and some folks wait until after the new year to dive into the yearly advent calendar. If you're in that group, here's the full calendar in a single PDF to ease printing or solving in an app. Happy puzzling!

Solving in an app? How? That would make life easier.

I use Notability for iOS to solve puzzles in PDF format. I've also heard Goodnotes is a worthy option and for Android I've been recommended Squid.

I solved almost all of these at the time - except for the final meta phrase and I think one of the liars. Sadly, I cannot find my completed puzzles. Happily, I am about to spend two weeks on a cruise, so I think I will reprint the set and start again as they were so much fun in the beginning.

Question about the rules. I don’t understand “every grid node must be included in the fence.”
What is a grid node?

A grid node is any set of cross-hatch lines that exist in the grid. Most of them look like plus signs, but those are truncated at the edges and corners of the grid.

Finally found the completed puzzles, and never solved No 24... but have the final phrase. Was worth finishing it off even though it was over two years ago!!!
