Posting a bit late, this weekly Trapdoor Books puzzle is a new Grid Fill variant based on the book The Ninth Avatar by Todd Newton.

Good catch! (and great book!) When I was drawing lines through the words for the chains I accidentally turned my C into a G, making me think CARD should have been DRAG. Fixing it now!

I completed it! I think there's an error, though, because I found "DRAC" instead of "DRAG".
