I'm not sure the grids presented go with the instructions.

rmsgrey are you referring to the 3 grids for day 1 of the Advent Calendar? I had no problem, the instructions are pretty much the straight-up Area 51 instructions. Not everything appeared in the first day's puzzles (cactus/alien. circled numbers, shaded/hollow circles) but the grids are certainly solvable by these instructions.

I'll second Don Stoveken. At first blush I was stumped, but a close read of the instructions gave me what I needed to solve all three. I'm eagerfor the next ones!

Is it just me, or the middle grid has more than one solution?
Either way, it's still enough to determine which of the marked cells are inside or outside of the loop, I think.

I'm new to the Area 51 puzzles. Is there a page that identifies what each symbol (cactus, alien, etc) look like?

Erik, feel free to email or private message me what you have for the second grid and I can check if there’s a problem.

Paul, check out puzzle number 881.

Hello, David.
My bad, I rechecked my solution, and I just made a mistake. So yeah, just one solution. :)

No worries, Erik. My first draft of that puzzle had a flaw so it was entirely possible my fix had missed something as well.
