Puzzle #692: 2012 Advent Calendar

Posted November 26, 2012

December is nearly here, which means it'll be time for the second annual puzzle Advent Calendar. This year, count down the 25 days of Christmas with a massive 35x35 Area 51 puzzle. It'll combine the fence-building types you know and love to form one massive loop throughout the grid! Check out the grid preview here and come back on 1st December for the first piece of the puzzle!

Look what you made for me and my friends!

This looks like it'll be lots of fun ... and perhaps a good promo for the forthcoming paranormal puzzle pack book?

Hoping it'll be as much fun as last year's calendar, if not more. Also hoping it doesn't distract from finishing the book itself! I intend to use more of the wasted space on the sheets this year by including small riddles and puzzles below the daily tile.

On a side note, I'm also pleased that last year's calendar will be getting a bit more mileage. The Italian WPF membership organization will be translating and rerunning the 2011 calendar this year on their blog.

I'm really looking forward to this year's calendar! Josh pointed me to it last year, and I told him not that long ago that I hoped you did one again this year! I'm looking forward to the masyu/slitherlink blend; I'm new to both of those types. Ah well, I have a pretty spiffy puzzler friend to help if I get stuck.

The riddles and puzzles below the daily tile sound like great fun, too! It's going to be a wonderful December! I'll have to find the puzzle book when it comes out, and maybe a copy for my mum as well! :D

Thanks for the puzzles to look forward to! :D

I have the brain space to try this year's one :) (hubby is healthy again, so life is returning to normal slowly)
